Antique Engagement Rings With 1 Carat Diamonds And 2 Carat Diamonds With Prices Almost Too Good To Be True!

2 carat round diamond engagement ring set, white gold, diamond rings

Antique Engagement Rings Are Just One Of the styles we specialize in.

Ok, so in part one we talked about how to save money on an engagement ring by simply buying online. If you missed it just look for the tab that says "Save Money-Part1"

The next thing to consider is the color grade of the diamond. This is another way jewelry stores keep the cost of their diamonds down. It is not uncommon to see I or J color diamonds in a jewelry store. That is because the cost to them significantly decreases by the time you get all the way down to I-J. And the jewelry store will make them look good because of the special lighting they use for that very reason! If you want to see the real color, take it away from the jewelry store lighting. And if you can't do that, put your hand over the diamond to cover it from their special lights. This will tend to reveal the real color of the diamond. They may tell you that I-J is a good color diamond because it is in the "near colorless" category. But when you compare it to a D,E or F color diamond, there is no comparison! You may not know this unless you see these color grades side by side. Compare a D,E or F color diamond next to an I or J color diamond and you will be very surprised! One note here is that I am aware of 1 very well known diamond seller online that uses this same trick. It is very possible that you have come across them because they advertise alot! You will know them when you see them because the center diamond in their engagement rings are generally a small carat weight diamond, in the I-J color range. Small carat weights and I-J color grade diamonds means cheap prices on your engagement ring! Although it is not necessary to buy a D color grade diamond (D is the best grade there is) I recommend staying away from I-J color diamonds. They do tend to look pretty yellow. Especially in some lighting conditions. If you can afford a D-F color diamond....Go For It! They are beautiful.

However a good way to save some money is to buy a G color grade diamond.

G color grade diamonds are just one step from the TRUE COLORLESS diamonds. (DEF are true colorless category diamonds) Chances are you will have a hard time telling the difference and your cost will go down. Buying an engagement ring is costly enough for most people. If you are on a limited budget, consider a G color diamond!

G color grade diamonds offer the most bang for the buck when it comes to color grades in diamonds. You Will generally see D-H color diamonds in all of our engagement rings at www.SecretDiamond.com
